Applicability

These terms apply to every booking and rental of mountain bikes by Posada Aurora.

Booking

• Mountain bikes can only be booked in advance and are rented subject to availability.
• A booking is only final once it has been confirmed by Posada Aurora.

When requesting a booking, we ask for:

• The desired date
• The number of mountain bikes
• The height of the rider(s)
• Whether a helmet is required

Rental rates

• Unless stated otherwise, these prices apply per mountain bike per day.

Deposit

• We do not require a deposit from Posada Aurora guests.
• A deposit of €100 per mountain bike applies to non-guests.
• Posada Aurora reserves the right to request valid identification at the start of the rental.

Use of the mountain bike

• The renter must handle the mountain bike with care and act responsibly.
• The mountain bike may only be used by the person for whom it was booked.

The renter is responsible for:

• Safe use of the mountain bike
• Complying with applicable traffic rules
• Judging whether a route is suitable for their own level and fitness
• Wearing suitable clothing and footwear

Helmets

• Wearing a helmet is mandatory while using the mountain bike.
• Helmets are available to borrow free of charge at Posada Aurora.

Minimum height and minors

• Our mountain bikes are suitable for riders from approximately 135 cm tall.
• Minors may only use a mountain bike under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

Condition of the mountain bike

• Posada Aurora delivers the mountain bike in good and usable condition.
• The renter must inspect the mountain bike upon receipt and report any visible damage or defects immediately.

Damage, loss and theft

• The renter is responsible for damage to the mountain bike that occurs during the rental period due to careless, incorrect or improper use.
• In the event of loss or theft of the mountain bike during the rental period, the renter is responsible for the resulting damage, unless demonstrable force majeure applies.
• Damage, breakdowns, loss or theft must be reported to Posada Aurora as soon as possible.

Breakdowns during the ride

• In the event of a breakdown or technical problem, the renter should contact Posada Aurora as soon as possible.
• No major repairs may be carried out on the mountain bike without prior consultation, unless necessary to prevent further damage or to return safely.

Cancellation

Return

• The mountain bike must be returned on the agreed date and time.
• In the event of a late return, Posada Aurora reserves the right to charge additional costs.

Liability

Use of the mountain bike is entirely at your own risk. Posada Aurora is not liable for injury, damage or costs arising from the use of the mountain bike, except in cases of intent, gross negligence, or where liability arises from mandatory law.

Posada Aurora is not liable for damage or delay resulting from:

• Weather conditions
• Terrain or route conditions
• The renter’s own carelessness or overestimation of ability
• Route information from third parties

Route information

• Any routes or tips provided by Posada Aurora are intended purely as suggestions.
• The renter remains solely responsible for route choice, safety and assessing the suitability of the terrain.

Refusal of rental

Posada Aurora reserves the right to refuse or end a rental if:

• Safety is at risk
• The renter handles the mountain bike carelessly
• The renter does not comply with these terms
• Incorrect information has been provided
