At Posada Aurora you stay in one of our two welcoming holiday homes. Each has a character of its own, yet both are surrounded by the peace and warmth of the Andalusian countryside.
Both houses have been furnished with care, combining a warm, characterful atmosphere with modern comfort. Subtle medieval touches give the rooms a distinctive feel all of their own, without ever compromising on comfort and calm.
During your stay you are free to use our spacious swimming pool, a place to cool off and relax in the sun. Around the grounds you will find any number of quiet corners, including our garden, where nature and discovery come together.
Before you arrive you can make use of our grocery service: we stock the fridge for you, so your holiday can start in a relaxed way.
And in the morning there is our bread service, so you can begin the day gently with fresh bread.
Here you stay in complete peace, with nature always close by. Whether you begin the day in the morning sun or end it in perfect quiet. It is the small moments that make the difference.

You are right in the middle of the province of Córdoba, with nature just beyond the gate and three of Andalusia’s best-known cities within the hour. Four directions to choose from — or to alternate between.
Nature
La Sierrezuela begins at the edge of the grounds: walking and mountain biking without getting into the car. Further afield lie the La Breña reservoir and the Caminito del Rey.

Posadas is three kilometres away, Córdoba with its Mezquita half an hour, and Seville a little over an hour. Écija, the city of towers, is still off most tourists’ radar.

Is the pool private?
The pool is on our own grounds and is there for our guests only. At most you share it with the guests staying in the other holiday home — no rows of sun loungers, no strangers wandering in.
When can Casa Meleys be booked?
From 27 March 2027. We are working hard on it at the moment. If you would like to be the first to know when the calendar opens, do sign up for our newsletter. Casa Valyria is already available to book.
Can we come as a large group?
Casa Valyria sleeps up to four guests. Casa Meleys is being laid out flexibly and will sleep four to eight. Book both holiday homes and you will have the grounds and the pool essentially to yourselves.
Do you need a car here?
Not necessarily. From Posadas station there are direct trains to Córdoba (about twenty minutes) and Seville (a little over an hour), and bus route M-250 takes you to Almodóvar del Río. For the village and the Sierrezuela you can walk or cycle. If you want to venture further afield, a car does come in handy.
When is the best time to visit?
May, June and September are the most pleasant — warm, but comfortable enough to be out and about. July and August are true pool months: in the middle of the day you simply stay on the grounds. In spring everything is in bloom, and in May the Patios de Córdoba are open as well.
Are pets welcome?
Unfortunately not, because of our own animals on the grounds.
